....regular meetups of gov/non gov digerati in a cafe over a cup of tea. Teacamps are informal and you can just turn up. Next teacamps are:

UK Youth Parliament social media guidelines

Rhammel Afflick from the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) will talk about his role in UKYP and their new social media guidelines.  UKYP is run by young people and provides opportunities for 11-18 year-olds to use their voice in creative ways to bring about social change. This follows on from the April teacamp on cross government social media guidelines.

 

How teacamp works…

Just turn up at Cafe Zest from 4pm on the day, you don’t need to book a place in advance and is open to everyone. It is very informal in the corner of the cafe, and very friendly. If you are coming for the first time or on your own, find me (Jane O’Loughlin) and I will introduce you to some teacampers.

  • 4pm – 4.30pm : people arrive, have a chat and a cup of tea
  • 4.30 – 4.40pm: Rhammel  will talk for  10 mins
  • 4.40pm – 6pm: discussion with everyone and some people break into smaller groups and chat and catch up
  • 6pm: sometimes there is beercamp in nearest pub, often lead by @baskers..

Social media guidelines teacamp

Are you writing or updating or interested in social media guidelines? Or do you just want to come and mingle with some digital people?  If so, come along and share your thoughts and views with:

This month featuring

Westminster City Council digital inclusion initiatives by Irene McWilliams @irenedigital Irene will talk about two current initiatives:

  • Charity Cloud Computing Network: the aim is to reduce costs for charities through alternatives to direct funding. The city council are holding an IT support forum for charities in March and discussion will include: what dopeople need to live in a digital world   http://www.westminsterintouch.com/
  • Getting homeless people online: the aim is to get smart phones and free wifi for homeless people to help them keep in contact with family and agencies, giving them an address and identity.

The fourth Internal Comms Teacamp takes place Wednesday, 18th January.
